Whirlpools are formed by a hole on the bottom. I don't know why our scientists do not tell the truth. The opposing currents are formed by the sucking of the hole ... there would be a whirlpool everywhere if just currents made them.. instead, the hole creates the currents... Norhing more obvious... i don't really understand why our scientists lie to humankind

there is a second more obvious method of forming a whirlpool. that is by drainage. you see this every time you drain the sink/tub or flush the toilet. Massive oceanic whirlpools of legend are discredited because there is no reason to believe that this method is possible in the ocean. However, it is. it would be extremely rare. it would be caused by tectonic shifts which cause earthquakes under the ocean. These quakes could open a crack or whole of sorts to a massive subterranian void which is normally created by ancient volcanic activity. The water would then drain into this pocket thererby creating a whirlpoor or maelstrom. It would last only long enough for it to fill that pocket with water, but any craft unlucky enough to get caught in it would absolutely be dragged down and destroyed. there would be very little left as the debree, and poor souls would have been sucked into that subterranian abyss.
